The H2020 BISON research project launches a questionnaire on the mainstreaming of biodiversity in national transport infrastructure development for all transport modes. It aims to identify the level of maturity, gaps, and needs of European Member States at policy, legislative and implementation levels.
To halt the loss of biodiversity and promote the restoration of ecosystem services, the European Union relies on two strategies: the EU Strategy on Green Infrastructure and the EU Biodiversity strategy for 2030 which is part of the European Green Deal.
In 2021, the H2020 BISON research project was launched by a consortium of 39 organizations to identify opportunities and synergies to achieve the objectives of these strategies by mainstreaming biodiversity in transportation infrastructure.
To this extent, BISON project will develop the following:
- State of the art of good practices, technologies, and emerging trends.
- Strategic Research and Deployment Program (SRDA).
- Roadmap for the integration of green and grey infrastructure in EU Member States
To assess the level of maturity, the gaps, and the needs of the Member States of the European Union at the political, legislative and implementation levels, the BISON project is launching a broad questionnaire on the mainstreaming of biodiversity and infrastructure green in the development of national transport infrastructure for all modes of transport.
You are kindly invited to answer Strategic and/or Technical questions according to your expertise. Our questionnaire gives you the opportunity to provide us with your input gradually by saving your submitted answers. That way different people from the same organisation can answer with one voice.
